DISTRICT ATHLETIC FIELDS AND SURROUNDING GROUNDS – Application of Herbicide
Pursuant to State Education Law Section 409-H, this notice is to inform you of a pending herbicide application (under Environmental Conservation Law Section 33-0101), to the District’s athletic fields and surrounding grounds. This application will assist with controlling broadleaf weeds and maintaining our natural grass in good playing condition.
In order to limit the general public’s exposure to these herbicides, no one will be allowed on any District fields until after the July 4 holiday.
Further information about the product(s) being applied, including any warnings that may appear on the label of the herbicide that are pertinent to the protection of humans, animals, or the environment, can be obtained by calling the New York State Department of Health Center for Environmental Health Information line at 1-800-458-1158 or by calling the National Pesticide Telecommunications Network Information Phone Number (1-800-858-7378) or by emailing at npic@ace.orst.edu.
