Early Voter & Absentee Ballot Application

Absentee Ballot

Absentee Ballot Applications may not be submitted more than 30 days before the election. Qualifications to vote by absentee ballot:

  1. Absence from county on election day
  2. Temporary or permanent illness or disability
  3. Duties related to primary care giver of one or more individuals who are ill or physically disabled
  4. Resident or patient of a Veterans Health Administration Hospital.
  5. Detention in jail/prison, awaiting trial, awaiting action by a grand jury, or in prison for conviction of a crime or offense which was not a felony

Return the application by mail or in person to:

If the application requests the absentee ballot be mailed, the application must be received by the district clerk no later than 7 days before the election. Otherwise, the application may be personally delivered to the district clerk not later than the day before the election.

Absentee Ballot – Military Voter

Original application must be returned by mail or in person to:
District Clerk

Johnstown, NY 12095.

Military ballot applications must be received by District Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on the on the 15th day before the election. Call the district offices for more information.

Early Mail Ballot Application

Early Mail Voter Applications may not be submitted more than 30 days before the election.

Student Registration

All forms in the prekindergarten application packet must be completed and brought to the Johnstown High School Office, Attention Central Registrar, together with proof of residency. All parents must complete the residency form.
