The Greater Johnstown School District has the following anticipated vacancies:

Vacant Certified Positions (Administrators, Teachers and Teaching Assistants)

Continuous Recruitment:

• Teaching Assistants. 10 month positions; follows the school calendar. Apply as set forth below.

• Music Teacher (Pleasant .5 FTE and Warren .5FTE). Probationary position beginning September 1, 2024
• Special Education Teacher at Pleasant Avenue. Probationary position beginning September 1, 2024
• Special Education Teacher at Knox Middle School. Probationary position beginning September 1, 2024
• English Teacher at Johnstown High School. Probationary position beginning September 1, 2024
• Extended Leave Substitute Mathematics Teacher at Johnstown High School, September 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025
• (2) Speech Language Pathologists (District-wide). Probationary positions beginning September 1, 2024
• Part-time (.5FTE) Speech Languge Pathologist at Pleasant Avenue. For the 2024-2025 school year

Required qualifications for coaching positions:

NYS Education Department fingerprint clearance; valid first aid/CPR certification; Heads-up Concussion Management training; and one of the following:

• NYS Physical Education Teacher Certification OR
• Other NYS Teacher Certification and applicable coaching courses* OR
• NYS Coaching License, Child Abuse Identification Workshop, School Violence Intervention and Prevention Workshop, DASA (Dignity for All Students) training and applicable coaching courses*

*Required coaching courses: Philosophy, Principles of Organization of Athletics (within 2 years); Health Aspects of Coaching (within 5 years); Theory & Techniques (within 5 years)
