Winter Guard Season Underway
The 2020 competition season is underway for Johnstown’s Winter Guard teams, under the direction of Mrs. Cassandra Myers.
Following a weather cancellation on January 18, the teams participated in a Mid York Color Guard Circuit competition in New Hartford, NY on January 25, followed by a WGI Winter Guard International regional at Corning, NY on February 1. They will be traveling to various competitions throughout the northeast during the month of February, before hosting their annual Artistry in Motion Home Show at Johnstown High School on March 7, 2020.
Johnstown’sAmethyst Gold varsity guard is composed of students from grades 9-12 and competes in the Scholastic A Class, while the Amethyst junior varsity guard is composed of students in grades 7-11, competing in the cadet class.
