Due to yesterday’s inclement weather, the Section 2, Division 2 team wrestling duals tournament was rescheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 17. The event will start at 6 p.m. and will be held in the main gymnasium at Johnstown High School. Reminder that there are no paper tickets for this event. Spectators must purchase digital tickets through GoFan.com. Section 2 ticket prices for this event are $6.00, plus a $1.30 fee (total = $7.30). Children under the age of 12 can attend for free. Johnstown/FF wrestling to host Section 2 team duals Tuesday, Jan. 16 @ 6 p.m.
Your Johnstown/Fonda-Fultonville varsity wrestling team has secured the #1 seed in next week’s Section 2, Division 2 boys wrestling team duals tournament! As the top seed, Johnstown will serve as host for the event, set to take place at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16. Other teams participating include Hudson Falls (#2 seed), Duanesburg/Schoharie (#3 seed), and Cobleskill-Richmondville (#4 seed).
Johnstown will face the #4 seed Cobleskill-Richmondville in the first round. Hudson Falls will face Duanesburg/Schoharie in the first round. Both first round matches will start at 6 p.m., with the winning teams advancing to the finals, set to start at 7:30 p.m.
At stake, is the opportunity for one team to represent Section 2 at the upcoming New York State Dual Meet Tournament, which will be held at SRC Arena in Syracuse on Saturday, Jan. 27.
There are no paper tickets for this event. Anyone interested in attending should consider purchasing digital tickets online in advance.
