Notice of Public Hearing on Proposed School Closure and Subsequent Repurposing March 25

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Board of Education of the Greater Johnstown School District, Fulton County, Johnstown, New York, will hold a public hearing on the question of the necessity and practicability of the proposed closing and subsequent repurposing of the following school at the end of the 2019-2020 school year:

Knox Junior High School
400 South Perry Street, Johnstown, New York 12095

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that the public hearing on this proposed closure and subsequent repurposing will take place as follows:

Date:  Wednesday, March 25, 2020
Time:  6:00 p.m.
Location:  To comply with social distancing requirements and provide for the safety of our community, the meeting will be livestreamed at the following link:

Knox Junior High School is being considered for possible closure for financial reasons, and on the basis that the District’s programs may be reasonably accommodated within its remaining schools.
