GJSD Announces New Communications Program for District Parents/Guardians

parent square logoIn 2020-21, the Greater Johnstown School District will be using a new app called ParentSquare for parent notification calls and messages, to replace the district’s current emergency notification system. This new platform will also be used to distribute surveys and forms to families throughout the school year.

On April 30, families received a welcome text and email message from ParentSquare. The message directed users to download the FREE ParentSquare App. If you haven’t done so, please download the app and create an account. Once enrolled, your child(ren) will automatically be linked to your account, and you will be able to receive school communications that pertain to your child(ren).

Please note: If you have not received a ParentSquare welcome message, please notify the main office at your child’s school.

During the 2020-2021 school year, ParentSquare will be expanded to encompass other communications from administrators, principals and teachers. We believe you will find ParentSquare to be an effective, user-friendly communication tool. Please stay tuned for those offerings, as we begin expanding this service throughout the school district.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation as we continue to improve district communications.
