  • SGT. SEAN HIGGINS SCHOLARSHIP, given by the Johnstown Police Benevolent Association, to a student planning to continue their education in the field of law. Preference is given to those involved in athletics. $250.00 AWARDED TO: Sierrah Guyette
  • THE JOHNSTOWN POLICE BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP, given by the Johnstown Police Benevolent Association, to a student who has been accepted in a two or four-year higher education program. $250.00 AWARDED TO: Loryn Blake

  • THE JAMES J., KATHRYN M. & DONNA L. BROYLES MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP, given by their family to a student who maintains a B average or better during their senior year.  The student should show initiative and determination in their studies. $1,000.00 AWARDED TO:  Konner Mancini
  • THE MAUREEN LAKE CLARK MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP, in memory of Maureen Clark, a long-time employee of the GJSD.  Given by Knox Jr. High PTSA and friends of Maureen, to a graduate who has attended Knox Jr. High and Johnstown High School who best exemplifies those qualities that were important to Maureen, including effort, determination, perseverance, responsibility, and concern for others. $250.00 each AWARDED TO: William Gerlach, Anastasija Morse

  • THE ELIZABETH SUBIK MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP, a school nurse / teacher in the Greater Johnstown School District, given in her memory by her sons, Marc, Jonathan and Christopher to a student entering a health related occupation. $500.00 AWARDED TO:  Isabella Lewis

  • THE DR. JOAN L. COLVIN – HELEN A. FAILING SCHOLARSHIP, given anonymously, to honor the leadership and dedication to the students and staff of Johnstown by these two faculty members and presented to a student who leads by example, achieves excellence, and is supportive of and helpful to others. $500.00 AWARDED TO:  Jaden Wilson
  • HEALTH SCIENCES AWARD IN MEMORY OF DR. MARTIN & ELSIE BREWDA,  awarded to two students choosing a career in the health sciences who demonstrate academic achievement, community service, a commitment to working in the healthcare field, and potential bedside manner. $1,500.00 each AWARDED TO:  Lorena Trumble,  Teianna Vetrano-Frasier
  • THE LAZY EIGHT RADIO CONTROL CLUB SCHOLARSHIP, Awarded to a local senior who plans on attending a 2 or 4 year technical or academic institution to study aviation, mechanics, meteorology or other STEM related field. $500.00 AWARDED TO: Konner Mancini
  • THE ELEANOR MILLER REED MEMORIAL SCIENCE SCHOLARSHIP presented to a graduating senior who will continue his/her education and who has shown an interest in and appreciation for the study of science throughout his/her four years of high school.  This senior is a responsible and honorable school citizen who has demonstrated personal integrity and a willingness to help others. $250.00 AWARDED TO: Torin Steele’
  • THE JD ALDRICH MUSIC SCHOLARSIP, presented to a graduating JHS student who has exemplified a strong commitment to music. $250.00 each AWARDED TO: Cecelia D’Amore, Hailey Preston
  • THE DR. WILLIAM CRANKSHAW / JHS MADRIGAL CHOIR AWARD, given to the choir member who is most involved in choral repertoire through a variety of choral experiences, both in school and outside of school.  It is a great recognition of a student who has been dedicated to experiencing as much choral music and as many choirs as they had the opportunity to try. $300.00 AWARDED TO: Isabella Lewis
  • THE ALEXANDER SIMON MUSIC AWARD, given to a senior musician who not only performs and contributes at the highest level in school ensembles, but also explores and performs music on their own outside of the school day, resulting in expressive and creative performances which epitomize the spirit of Alexander.  Alexander Simon, JHS class of 2011, was a brilliant multi-instrumentalist and composer who enhanced the music program in Johnstown through his participation from elementary school through graduation.  Whether playing alto or bari sax in band, piano in jazz band, drums wherever and whenever he could, or accompanying the choirs and other groups during performances, Alex brought his gift of music to share with everyone.  His outgoing and compassionate personality infected those around him, and he elevated the atmosphere in every room he entered. $1,000.00 AWARDED TO:  Damien Roth
  • JOHNSTOWN CITIZENS BAND SCHOLARSHIP,  given by the Johnstown Citizens Band, Inc. commemorating its 100-year anniversary in 2008.  This award honors two of its members, Mr. Joseph Walsh, conductor, and Mr. Norman Clo, French Hornist, who each served with the band for 50 consecutive years, 1958-2008.  This award is given to a JHS graduating instrumental music student who will be going on to pursue a career in music or music education. $250.00 AWARDED TO:  Cecelia D’Amore

  • DR. KEVIN KEATING MEMORIAL AWARD, given by Mr. Litz to students who have excelled in the field of science, while demonstrating empathy and compassion through actions that improve the Johnstown community. $250.00 each AWARDED TO:  Torin Steele, Roslyn Chapin

  • THE PERCY AND PAULINE BURDA SCHOLAR AWARD, given to high school seniors who are faithful members of Holy Trinity Parish, who demonstrate consistent scholarship, and who serve their school, church and community. $1,000.00 AWARDED TO: Jared Stewart
  • JOHNSTOWN MUSIC SUPPORT GROUP SCHOLARSHIP, given to a graduating senior  who will be furthering their education in a field of or related to Music and /or the Arts. $250.00 each AWARDED TO: Hailey Preston, Luke Solby
  • THE GREATER JOHNSTOWN LIONS CITIZENSHIP AWARD, given by the Greater Johnstown Lions Club, to a graduating senior who has demonstrated significant community service over the past four years. $300.00 each AWARDED TO: Konner Mancini, Ethan Petrie
  • THE JACK W.   • THE KURT KAISER SCHOLARSHIP, given by the Glove Cities Rotary Club, inc. to a student pursuing further education in the medical field. $750.00 each AWARDED TO:  Natalie Flint, Morgan Havlicek
  • RON HILL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP, given by his family to a college bound scholar athlete who displays good character in the classroom as well as on the court or field. $250.00 each AWARDED TO:  Garrett Barnett, Larkin Sardella
  • THE LOYAL ORDER OF THE MOOSE SCHOLARSHIP, given by the Johnstown Lodge #1185, to a graduating male student who is planning to further his education. $250.00 AWARDED TO: Dylan Barter
  • THE WINNER’S CIRCLE SCHOLARSHIP, given to a graduating senior who is involved in extracurricular activities, has a part-time job or work as a volunteer and exhibits good academics. $250.00 AWARDED TO:  Hailey Preston
  • THE HALEY CASE FIELD HOCKEY SCHOLARSHIP, given to a graduating senior who was a Johnstown Field Hockey Teammate.  This scholarship is to remember Haley Case, a former Johnstown Field Hockey player who was a light for her team.  She was almost always the smallest, but had fight in her that was the foundation in which Johnstown Field Hockey had been built. $1,000.00 AWARDED TO:  Kalena Eaton

  • THE EDWARD A. ZILKA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP, given by his family & friends to a student who played at least two sports and intends on furthering his or her education. $250.00 AWARDED TO: Jared Stewart
  • THE PEG WAGNER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP, given by her husband, Dr. Richard Wagner, to a graduating senior who has exhibited a sincere interest and appreciation for the visual arts. $500.00 AWARDED TO: Conner Edel
  • THE MEGAN E. KELLY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP, given in honor of Megan Kelly who passed away in 1997 during her senior year at JHS. She was a kind and generous friend to everyone who knew her. The scholarship is to be given to a senior who demonstrates resilience and perseverance in overcoming obstacles. $250.00 AWARDED TO: Kallie Ahern

  • THE FRANK AND HELEN MANDATO MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP, given by the YMCA, to a graduating senior planning to further his/her education and an active member and volunteer for the YMCA. $500.00 AWARDED TO:  Jaden Wilson
  • MARTHA ROSS SMALL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP, awarded annually by St. John’s Episcopal Church to a graduating student from a high school in Fulton County who is committed to the church, to academic achievement, to school and community service, and who is active in the performing arts. $2,000.00  AWARDED TO:  Isabella Lewis
  • MICHAEL CARTER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP given in memory of Michael Carter a deceased member of the Class of 2010. $250.00 AWARDED TO:  Isabella Lewis
  • THE JOHNSTOWN ELEMENTARY PTA SCHOLARSHIP, this scholarship of $500 each, given by the JEPTA is presented to two graduating seniors who attended and completed sixth grade through any Johnstown elementary school, for a combined minimum of four years, who intend to pursue post-secondary education.  The recipient has exhibited commendable academic effort, and has been involved in volunteer or community service. $500.00 each AWARDED TO: Hailey Preston, Jared Stewart
  • THE DAVID E. HORNIDGE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP, given to graduating students who are well-rounded, two sport athletes looking to further their education after graduation.  Given by his sons, Tyler and Alec Hornidge.  $1,000.00 each AWARDED TO:  Loryn Blake, Benjamin Krempa
  • THE JOHN D. COONS SCHOLARSHIP, awarded to a graduating senior who plans to pursue a degree from an accredited trade or vocational school. $500.00 AWARDED TO: William Gerlach
  • THE HALES MILLS COUNTRY CLUB AND C&M BOTTLE RETURN SCHOLARSHIP, awarded to a graduating senior whose conduct demonstrates the true spirit of golf, competition, truthfulness, camaraderie, and class. $300.00 AWARDED TO: William Gerlach
  • THE SEAN HIGGINS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP, given to students who will be pursuing an education in law enforcement or the legal field and demonstrating Sean’s idealistic beliefs. $2,500.00AWARDED TO:  Kalena Eaton, Benjamin Krempa
  • THE ED LAKATA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP, awarded to a senior from Johnstown High School who is pursuing a degree in Math, Science, or Music. $1,000.00 each AWARDED TO:  Hailey Preston, Logan Harvey
  • THE CLASS OF 1967 MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP, given to a senior who is kind and has a love of learning. $500.00 AWARDED TO: Hailey Preston’
  • THE MARTY COLLINS SCHOLARSHIP, established by Marty Collins, a 1966 graduate of Johnstown High School, in 2016. This $2000 scholarship will be given to a graduating senior who is in the top 20% of their class, plans to attend college,and has demonstrated the drive and ambition to succeed in the future. $2,000.00 AWARDED TO:  Benjamin Krempa
  • THE MICHAEL AND HELEN RINGANESE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP, former educators in the Johnstown School District, given to a senior possessing the qualities of character, attitude, and values best exemplifying the spirit of American Youth. $500.00 AWARDED TO: Teianna Vetrano-Frasier
  • THE ROBERTA M. KNAPP TRUST SCHOLARSHIP, given to a graduate who is attending college and studying a veterinary related field. $5,000.00 AWARDED TO:  Larkin Sardella
  • MAYOR MICHAEL B. JULIUS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP, given by his wife  to a graduate who will be attending a college or university, exhibits good academics, was involved in extracurricular activities, and has a part-time job or volunteers on a regular basis.  This recipient has exemplary character, showing utmost compassion and unselfishness. $1,000.00 AWARDED TO: Luke Solby

  • THE JOHNSTOWN CITIZEN’S BAND AWARD, given by the Johnstown Citizens Band, Inc. honoring deceased band member David Aldrich for his many years of loyal service to the Band.  He performed for over 50 years as a percussionist and served for many years as Treasurer.  Above all, he had a tremendous love of music. Given to a senior who participated in instrumental and/or choral music for four years of high school and who exhibits a true love of music. $200.00 AWARDED TO:  Damien Roth
