Tackling the issue of chronic absenteeism – a message from Dr. Crankshaw

Chronic absenteeism is defined as missing 10% or more days of school (about 18 days) — and in Johnstown, it’s an issue that affects more students than you might think. GJSD Superintendent, Dr. William Crankshaw, has a very important message for both parents and students, about the importance of school attendance for both in-person and virtual learners, and how improving attendance will be a district-wide priority this school year.
