GJSD Announces New Communications Program

parent square logoThe Greater Johnstown School District will be using a new app called ParentSquare for parent notification calls and messages, to replace the district’s current emergency notification system.  This new platform will also be used to distribute surveys and forms to families in the coming weeks.

On Thursday, April 30, parents/guardians will receive a welcome text and email message from ParentSquare.  The message will direct you to download the FREE ParentSquare App.  Please download the app and create an account.  Your child(ren) will automatically be linked to your account, and you will be able to receive school communications that pertain to your child(ren).

If you do not receive a ParentSquare welcome message on April 30, please notify the main office at your child’s school.

During the 2020-2021 school year, ParentSquare will be expanded to encompass other communications from administration officials, principals and teachers.  We believe you will find ParentSquare to be an effective, user-friendly communication tool. Please stay tuned for those offerings, as we begin expanding this service throughout the school district.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation as we continue to improve district communications.
