Policy 6310 – Appointment – Support Staff

The probationary period for all new civil service employees, as established by the Fulton County Civil Service Commission, is a term not less than twelve (12) weeks nor more than fifty-two (52) weeks.

Provisional service in a higher position prior to a probationary appointment in a lower position may be creditable toward completion of the probationary period, at the discretion of the Superintendent.

The time, place and conditions of employment shall be assigned by the Superintendent of Schools. The duties for each Civil Service employee shall be clearly defined.
