Important Information from Transportation Department
Dear GJSD families,
The District needs your help to solidify transportation needs for the coming school year. GJSD’s full transportation policy can be viewed on the District website. Criteria for students to be eligible for transportation include:
- Kindergarten: Students must live ½ mile or more from the school they attend, as determined by the District standard of measure.
- Grades 1-8: Students must live 1.5 miles or more from the school they attend, as determined by the District standard of measure.
- Grades 9-12: Students must live 2.5 miles or more from the school they attend, as determined by the District standard of measure.
As a reminder, requests for transportation to and from your student’s school of attendance were due by June 9, 2023 in order to secure a bus assignment. The District Transportation Request Form can be found on the District website. If you have not done so already, please submit the completed form no later than Wednesday, August 9, 2023 to:
