The GJSD Board of Education has scheduled the following meetings for the month of June:
- June 5: Academic & Extracurricular Committee, 5:30 p.m. @ District Administrative Office
- June 5: Audit, Budget & Finance Committee, 6:30 p.m. @ District Office
- June 11: Operations & Planning Committee, 6:30 p.m. @ District Office
- June 12: Board Business Meeting & Public Hearings, 6:30 p.m. @ JHS Performing Arts Center
- Public Hearing on ERS Reserve Transfer. The Board of Education will hold a public hearing on transfer of amounts from the Reserve for Retirement Contributions (ERS) to the General Fund for the purpose of paying expenses associated with retirement contributions on behalf of District employees in the 2025-26 school year
- Public Hearing on 2025-26 District-wide Safety Plan. Members of the public may submit written comments on the 2025-26 District-wide School Safety Plan to District Administration by email to communications@johnstownschools.org, or by postal mail to GJSD Administrative Office, 1 Sir Bills Circle, Suite 101, Johnstown, NY 12095, for 30 days following the Public Hearing (until July 12, 2025). At its August 2025 business meeting, the Board of Education will consider a resolution to adopt the 2025-26 District-wide School Safety Plan.
Staff, students and community members are welcome to attend board and committee meetings in accordance with NYS Open Meetings Law. The Board’s monthly business meeting is livestreamed via the District’s YouTube channel. Board meeting agendas are released via the BoardDocs website at least 24 hours in advance of a meeting.
