2025-26

On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, the Greater Johnstown School District community approved the district’s $45,156,817 budget proposal for the 2025-26 school year by a vote of 350-151, a margin of 70%. The plan represents a spending increase of 3.84% ($1,667,842) and called for a 2.99% tax levy increase ($367,159), which was at the District’s maximum allowable levy under state law. This marks the fifth straight year that the tax levy increase was within the cap, requiring just a simple majority (more than 50%) to pass.

The community also voted for candidates to fill two open seats on the Board of Education. Incumbent candidates Marjorie Kline and William J. Stock ran unopposed for re-election and began their second three-year board term at the start of the 2025-2026 school year, on July 1, 2025.
