June Board of Education Meeting and Public Hearings

The Board of Education’s regular monthly business meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, in the JHS small cafe, and will include the following Public Hearings:

• A Public Hearing to review the transfer of amounts from the Reserve for Retirement Contributions (ERS) to the Construction Capital Reserve 2024.
• A Public Hearing on a revised Code of Conduct and Restorative Supports. Members of the public are welcome to submit written comments on the revised Code of Conduct and Restorative Supports by email to communications@johnstownschools.org, or by postal mail to GJSD Administrative Office, 1 Sir Bills Circle, Suite 101, Johnstown, NY 12095, for 14 days following the Public Hearing (until June 27, 2024). At its July 2, 2024 organizational meeting, the Board of Education will  consider a resolution to adopt the revised Code of Conduct and Restorative Supports.
• A Public Hearing on the 2024-25 District-wide School Safety Plan. Pursuant to Education Law, members of the public may submit written comments on the 2024-25 District-wide School Safety Plan to District Administration by email to communications@johnstownschools.org, or by postal mail to GJSD Administrative Office, 1 Sir Bills Circle, Suite 101, Johnstown, NY 12095, for 30 days following the Public Hearing (until July 13, 2024). At its August 2024 business meeting, the Board of Education will consider a resolution to adopt the 2024-25 District-wide School Safety Plan.

It is anticipated that videoconferencing will be used. Members of the public are welcome to attend the board meeting and public hearings in person at the JHS small cafe or in the hotel lobby located at 11400 West Interstate 20 East, Odessa, Texas.
