How do I pay my taxes?

GJSD does NOT accept payments in-person.

DROP BOX:

A secure drop box is located outside the District Office on the back side of JHS near the pickle ball courts; No cash accepted. Payments made after 4:00 p.m. on Fridays will be considered Monday payments.

After November 1, specific questions regarding your taxes should be directed to the following:

  • City of Johnstown, Towns of Johnstown, Ephratah and the City of Gloversville: Contact the Fulton County Treasurer’s Office at (518) 736-5580
  • Town of Palatine:  Contact the Montgomery County Treasurer’s Office at (518) 853-8175

Deadlines:

  • Collection of taxes began September 1.
  • A penalty of 2% will be added to payments received after September 30.
  • No payment will be accepted by the school District after October 31. Any amounts unpaid as of October 31 will be sent to the appropriate city or county for collection.
