The Greater Johnstown School District will implement an early dismissal on Friday, June 12, due to forecasted extreme heat and the resulting elevated temperatures inside our school buildings, which may reach unsafe levels.
The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our top priority, and this proactive measure is intended to reduce exposure to potentially hazardous indoor temperatures.
Dismissal will occur at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 12 at all GJSD schools. Transportation for afternoon CTE will not be available. All after-school activities and events are canceled. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
