JHS students from Mrs. Krempa’s Sports & Entertainment Marketing class recently traveled to MetLife Stadium in New Jersey to take part in the New York Jets Sports Business Day.
Students were guided through exclusive, behind-the-scenes areas of MetLife Stadium, including the New York Jets locker room, press box, game field, and several club spaces. At each of the 11 stops, Jets employees from a variety of business departments—such as client relations, corporate sponsorships, sales, finance, and community relations—shared their career paths, day-to-day responsibilities, and answered students’ questions during a Q&A.
The event offered an excellent opportunity for students to explore the wide range of career possibilities within the sports industry. Each student also received a ticket to an upcoming Jets home game, along with the option to purchase additional tickets at a discounted rate.
