Warren St. Resumes Hybrid In-Person Learning – Starting FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23
We are pleased to report that all “probable positive” COVID-19 cases from October 20 ultimately concluded with negative results and those placed in a preemptive quarantine have been released and told that they can resume in-person instruction and learning immediately.
Therefore, the Fulton County Department of Health advised District administration late this afternoon that Warren Street Elementary School may resume its normal hybrid in-person learning schedule, beginning tomorrow, Friday, October 23 (gold cohort).
We appreciate the understanding and cooperation from our families during these very difficult times, and acknowledge the strain and inconvenience placed on each family, and especially our students.
Please be advised of the following:
- The next Remote Only material pick-up at Warren St. is scheduled for Wednesday, November 4th.
- School pictures for our Warren St. students are now rescheduled for Monday, November 2nd and Tuesday, November 3rd.
At a future time, the District may need to determine that one or more of its school buildings close due to COVID-19-related factors. In that case, similar communication will be provided to our families. The privacy of students and staff, as well as physical safety and continuity of learning will remain priorities for the District and will guide us in our decision making.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact GJSD COVID coordinator Ruthie Cook or Superintendent William Crankshaw at (518) 762-4611.
