Universal Prekindergarten Program Collaborator – Request for Proposal
The Greater Johnstown School District will apply for funding from the New York State Education Department (NYSED) to implement the following pre-school educational programs for the 2022-2023 school year:
- Universal Pre-Kindergarten, Full-Day for 4-Year Olds
GJSD is planning for three classrooms serving 49 students, tentatively at the Knox Building, that will be operated by the District, and is looking for a collaborator to operate a UPK program at their location for five students (10%).
The District plans to contract with an eligible agency to provide educational programs for resident four-year-old children for five slots. Interested agencies will need to apply to the Greater Johnstown School District for inclusion in any/all of the above listed programs by completing and submitting the following information:
- Agency Application Cover Page and Agency Information Materials
- NYS Program Application Materials (one for each program applying for)
- Budget Page (one for each program applying for)
All applicants are encouraged to view specific program requirements in their entirety at the NYSED website (http://www.p12.nysed.gov/earlylearning).
GJSD will review all proposals and reserves the right to make final determinations as to the ability of an agency to provide high quality early childhood programming. Factors used to determine the acceptance of an agency’s request to collaborate with the District are set forth in the Request For Proposal (RFP).
Please carefully review the RFP directions for completing your application and submit one original copy and one electronic copy of all applicable application packet items to the The Greater Johnstown School District office no later than 2:00 p.m. on May 31, 2022.
