Sweethearts & Heroes presenters Tom Murphy and Retired Sergeant Rick Yarosh, accompanied by his service dog Amos, spoke to students at Knox Junior High on Wednesday, March 11. Students were taught that to be somebody’s hero, it’s as easy as A, B, C:
- A stands for AWAY. Get the victim AWAY from the bully.
- B stands for BUDDY. Be a buddy with the victim and let them know that you care.
- C stands for CONFRONT. Confront an adult, any adult, and report the bully or confront the bully to try to fix the problem.
If stopping a fire means to Stop, Drop and Roll, then stopping a bully means A, B, C.
