Congratulations to our Warren Street Spelling Bee winners!

In a February 9 showdown on the stage of the Johnstown High School Performing Arts Center, Warren Street students stepped up to the microphone and showcased their orthography skills. Congratulations to the following students, who earned super-speller honors in their grade levels:

Fourth Grade:

  • First Place Brook Weaver
  • Second Place Hunter Zelich
  • Third Place Hannah Ellithorpe

Fifth Grade

  • First Place Ethan Blood
  • Second Place Zachary Tallon
  • Third Place Madelyn Connelie

Sixth Grade

Warren’s first place winners have each earned the opportunity to move on to the annual Fulton County Spelling Bee, set for 6:30 p.m. on March 7 at Gloversville Middle School. The winner of that contest will receive a trip to Washington, D.C. to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in May, courtesy of The Leader Herald newspaper. Good luck to our Warren Street super spellers!
