Seventh Grade Orientation Letter

Dear Johnstown Junior High School Students and Families,
On behalf of the Johnstown Junior High School faculty and staff, we are excited that you will be joining us in the fall. It is normal to feel anxious when entering a new building, but I can assure you that you will be prepared for success and feel supported. An orientation will be held for seventh grade students and their families on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 5:30PM in the Performing Arts Center. At orientation, you will receive your schedule for the school year and be able to tour the building.
We believe at JJSHS that you should be given the opportunity to be successful. The faculty and staff will foster that environment with high expectations and standards in place. There is an excellent faculty that will care about and take the time to get to know you. Use them as part of your support system.
Communication is also important at JJSHS. Please make sure you share any issues or concerns with your teachers, counselors or administrators before they become a major distraction to your education.
The first day of school is Tuesday, September 6, 2022. Students will report directly to their assigned homerooms by 7:45 a.m. Homeroom assignments will be your 1st period class.
