Roadmap options for high school students:
- Work-based Learning
- Career and Technical Education
- Comprehensive College Preparatory
- Liberal Arts College Preparatory
- PTECH Early College High School

Current 10th – 12th graders:
- Students in grades 10-12 will continue with their current course of study
- Those students have had the option to attend PTECH or career and technical education, and to participate in college preparatory coursework and work-based learning

Current 9th graders:
- Students in grade 9 are exploring careers and options
- Students completed career exploration activities at Knox
- Students attended information sessions about PTECH in grade 8 and had the option to attend PTECH or JHS in grade 9
- Students are working with high school guidance counselors
- to explore careers and build portfolios using the Naviance system
- to discuss roadmap choices for the 10th-12th grade years
- A flyer will be given to the students to pass along.

Current 8th graders:
- Students in grade 8 are exploring careers and options
- Students are completing activities to explore careers, interests and strengths at Knox (JA Inspire, Surveys, Digital Portfolios, Home and Careers, Assemblies-P-Tech/Career and Tech)
- A flyer describing roadmap options has been provided to all grade 8 students
- An informational evening presentation for parents and students to learn more about roadmap options is scheduled to be held on March 11th at JHS.

In the future:
- Students in grades 7 & 8 will explore careers and options
- Students will complete activities to explore careers, interests and strengths
High school guidance counselors will collaborate with 7th and 8th grade staff to help students build portfolios - Student portfolios will be used in progress meetings with students and parents to chart plans for the future
- Informational presentations for 8th grade parents and students to learn more about roadmap options will be held each spring
- Students will complete activities to explore careers, interests and strengths

- Periodic checkpoints with guidance counselors
- academic progress
- civic readiness
- career and college preparation
- Interest-based career exploration presentations will be held periodically throughout the year and increased use of Naviance to prepare students for their futures.
