Possibilities Abound at Glebe Career Day

Glebe Street Elementary School welcomed 20 community volunteers as presenters on Tuesday, June 2, during our first annual Career Day – part of Career Week. Our students were able to travel through stations learning about 17 different careers, represented as follows:

  • A carpenter – the school district’s very own Mr. Dave Wood
  • A nurse – Glebe Street’s very own Mrs. Debbie Ruggeri
  • A computer programmer – the school district’s very own Mr. Jim Westman
  • Logistics Specialists from GE: Miss Rene Klementowski and Mr. Zach O’Keefe
  • Photographer Mr. John Viscosi of Viscosi Photography
  • Retired Fulton County Court Judge – Honorable Richard Giardino
  • Air National Guard Pilots and Load Masters: Mr. Daniel James and Mr. Logan Brennan
  • Benjamin Moore Manufacturing Director: Mr. Paul Connelie
  • City of Johnstown Firemen: Mr. John Swedick and Mr. Shawn Humphrey
  • Social Media and Marketing Representative: Mrs. Beth Connelie
  • Certified Personal Trainer: Mr. Corey O’Bryan from Fulton County YMCA
  • Department of Public Works represented by Mr. Eric Houser
  • NYS State Trooper Mrs. Lisa MacLauchlin
  • Scientist Mr. Zach Wurz
  • Dance Instructor Mrs. Jacki Sweeney from Creative Dance Studio
  • Hairstylist Mrs. Lisa Swedick from Headquarters Salon
  • Radio Announcer Mr. Jack Scott from WENT
