We are excited to welcome back Pleasant Avenue students. I encourage all parents to get involved in the Johnstown School District. Join the Johnstown Elementary PTA and/or the Pleasant Avenue Building Planning Team. This year we will be sending updates through Parent Square.
Just a reminder, school starts at 9:00 am. It is very important to have your child to school on time and ready to learn. Breakfast is served from 8:30am until 8:55am and announcements will begin at 8:55am. If your child will be staying home sick, please call the office at 518-762-8610. Dismissal will start at 3:05 for walkers and riders. Bus students will be called when their bus arrives. Students should not congregate on campus before or after school hours.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me by phone or email at ccotter@johnstownschools.org.

Arrival
All elementary buildings will open doors at 8:30am. There is NO supervision for students prior to 8:30am. Do not drop off students prior to 8:30am. Students arriving by car, bike, or walking will enter through the Linden Ave entrance. Bus students will enter through the main door. All students will have their temperature taken before entering the building. Announcements will begin at 8:55am. Arrivals after 9:00 a.m. must be signed in at the front door main office and receive a late pass. Arriving to school on time will help your child be prepared for the day of learning ahead. Students need time in the morning to hang up their belongings, get their materials ready, and get settled into their day.
