Pleasant Avenue March 2021 Newsletter

Shamrock vine

Dear Families,

March is looking to be another busy month at Pleasant Avenue.  We will celebrate Read Across America Day on March 1st and 2nd.  Students will celebrate literacy with guest readers on Zoom and activities in the classrooms.  Students are encouraged to participate in “Seuss Spirit week”.

We are so excited to have our students attend in-person instruction 4 days each week starting March 15th.  We encourage all families to participate in the Parent Forum on Monday, March 1st.  Remember, the survey to be added to the wait list to change your child’s instructional learning method is due on Wednesday, March 3rd.  Attendance will be required for all students Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (remote), Thursday and Friday for both in person students and remote only students.

We are participating in the Ronald McDonald House Charity fundraiser throughout the month of March.  A calendar with family reading activities was sent home last week. We are encouraging all students to participate.  Reading for the Ronald McDonald House will also count towards our Raz Kids Challenge this month.  Our first ever Glow Dance Party will be held on March 18th 6:00-6:30.  Please RSVP to join the fun.

Contact the main office at 518-762-8610 if your phone number or email address has recently changed.

Please continue to communicate with your child’s teacher if you have any questions or concerns.   Stay safe and healthy.  Best wishes in 2021.

Sincerely,

Cory Cotter
Pleasant Avenue Principal
