Pleasant Ave. October 2020 Newsletter

October Newsletter imposed over fall leaves

Students have been working hard both in person and virtually. Students are learning routines to maximize instructional time at Pleasant Avenue.  October  is fire safety month.  Students will be practicing fire drills and learning more about fire safety throughout October. The building planning team is working on fall events – more information will be provided soon. Superhero Day will be the spirit day theme on October 22nd and 23rd.

Support JEPTA by signing up for a membership. JEPTA also sent information home to all students to purchase Little Bills spirit gear. Order forms and money are due back by October 9th.

Remote Only students material pick up is October 7th at Pleasant Avenue (8:30am-9:30am, 11:30am-12:30pm, and 2:30pm-3:30pm).

When dropping off students in the morning, you should arrive between 8:30am-8:55am in the Linden Avenue loop.  Parents should pull up to one of the three drop off spots before your child opens the door. Loop pick up starts at 3:05pm.  Please have your tag hanging from your rearview mirror and practice safe driving – please do not block the driveways on Linden Ave.

Keep encouraging your children to read at least 20 minutes each day. The details for this year’s literacy program will be released soon at morning program. There is no school (in person or virtual) on October 12th.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me by phone, email, or Parent Square.

Sincerely,

Corinne Cotter, Principal
