Principal’s Corner

Dear Pleasant Avenue Families,

We were excited to see so many of you at Parent-Teacher conferences.  We have a busy month planned for December at Pleasant Avenue.

On Friday, December 6th, the sixth graders will be coming to Pleasant Ave to help our  students write letters to Santa. Picture retakes are on Wednesday, December 11th.  Join us on Thursday, December 12th for our Cookies and Cocoa Literacy Night. Santa will read a story, be available for pictures, and students will decorate and enjoy a cookie. There is no cost and siblings are welcome to attend.  We have several other  holiday events planned for the students at school throughout the month of December.

Information about our STEAM night will be coming home soon. We love having volunteers at Pleasant Avenue.  Please contact the office if you are interested in helping at any event.

I hope that you enjoy the holiday season.  I am very grateful to work at Pleasant Avenue with dedicated teachers, staff, great students and families.  Have a happy and healthy 2020!

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me by phone or email at

Mrs. Corinne Cotter, Principal

  • Students go out daily for recess as long as the temperature is above 20 degrees (taking into account wind chill). Please be sure they have proper outdoor gear. This includes snow pants, boots, mittens/gloves, hats, and of course winter coat. Please label all of the clothing you send to school with your children.
  • Please make sure your child has a change of clothes in their locker in case of an accident!
  • There will be no breakfast served on 2 hour delays.

Clothing Closet

Please consider donating to the clothing closet. We are in need of boys size 6 or 7 and girls size 6 or 7. We are also in need of hats, gloves, boots, and snow pants. Thank you in advance.
