Netsmartz Internet Safety Program
Pleasant Avenue students received a visit from Officer Denny with the Johnstown Police Department. She presented the Netsmartz internet safety program from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Students learned the four rules of internet safety:
- Tell my trusted adult if anything makes me feel sad, scared or confused.
- Ask my trusted adult before sharing information like my name, address and phone number.
- Not meet face to face with anyone online
- Always use good netiquette and not be rude or mean online
