Letter to Glebe & Warren Families
Dear families,
We hope that everyone is doing well and staying healthy. As you are aware, last Friday, Governor Cuomo extended school closures through April 14th. With the extension of our school closure, online instruction for students in grades 2-6 will begin on April 1st. Teachers have established Google Classrooms to provide instructional materials and resources to their students. For information on how to access your child’s classroom(s), visit the school website www.johnstownschools.org. Please know that the entire school community is available for assistance throughout this process.
Students should be logging into Google Classroom daily through classlink for online instruction. During this time, staff will be posting weekly assignments that will be counted towards their report card. At this time, the District is waiting for information from the NYS Education Department relating to third quarter report cards. Students who have indicated that they do not have access to adequate internet, should pick up learning materials at JHS JPAC Wednesday, April 1st – Friday, April 3rd from 10:00am – 12:00pm. Families will be contacted by the District for device pickup based on information from the Google Survey. Learning materials will be collected the week of April 20th, more information will be provided.
If you have any questions or concerns that are not addressed by your child’s teacher, please email ccotter@johnstownschools.org or clais@johnstownschools.org, Johnstown Elementary Principals.
Stay healthy,
Mrs. Cotter and Mrs. Lais
