Knox Field to be closed at night
Unfortunately, due to increased vandalism at night, we have made the tough decision to close Knox Field at dusk each day, beginning Wednesday, September 23. All gates will be locked at dusk and remain locked until after the custodial staff arrives the following morning at 6:45 a.m.
The public is welcome to use the following entrances to access Knox Field, seven days a week, during daylight hours (6:45 a.m. – dusk):
- Main Gate at the Press Box
- Pedestrian gate across from Glebe St. school
- Pedestrian gate on corner of Glebe & First Ave.
- Pedestrian gate on First Ave. by the Knox Building
Please know that this was not an easy decision for us to make, but we felt it was important for us to take this action in order to preserve and maintain the property.
