School Budget Revote Reminders
If you are not registered, you cannot vote! Check the status of your school voter registration online here, or call the District Clerk at 518-762-4611 ext. 3119.
If you are not currently registered, do one of the following:
- Come to Voter Registration Day, Tuesday, June 12, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the JHS Auditorium Lobby. Bring photo ID and proof of residency (a utility bill or piece of mail with your name and Johnstown street address). You must be least 18 years old; a US Citizen; and a resident of the Greater Johnstown School District for the past 30 days.
- Register through the County Board of Elections. Your registration will need to be processed and made active by the County Board of Elections no later than June 18 to participate in the June 19 vote (note that activation is not immediate!). The Fulton County Board of Elections is located at 2714 St Hwy 29, Johnstown, NY; telephone (518) 736-5526. New York State also offers an online registration option (note that again, activation is not immediate!): https://www.ny.gov/services/register-vote
Public Budget Hearing

Proposed Budget Document
A copy of the proposed budget and required attachments is available to download or print using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader program. Photocopies will be available for review in the office at each school building, at the public library, and at the public budget hearing.
Absentee Ballot Applications Available for Qualified Voters
Voters who can’t vote in person due to illness or physical disability; travel plans related to school or business; vacation, college, or military service outside of Fulton County may submit an absentee ballot application. The completed application must be received by the District Clerk by June 12 if you want an absentee ballot mailed to you, or by June 18 if you are picking up the absentee ballot up in person. Absentee applications are available on our forms page.
Polls Open for Voting
Tuesday, June 19, 11 a.m.—8 p.m., Johnstown High School Auditorium Lobby
You may vote if you are:
- A U.S. Citizen, and
- Age 18 or older, and
- A legal resident of the Greater Johnstown School District for at least 30 days prior to the vote, and
- A registered voter
