Compassion and Generosity in Action

Johnstown elementary students Hope Buboltz, Rylee Buboltz, Casey Lamori and Lindsay Lamori made crafts to sell at the JEPTA Vendor Fair on December 6, including Santa sleighs and trains out of candy; snowman Christmas ornaments with baby socks, fake snow, and markers; Rudolph baggies filled with hot cocoa mix and marshmallows; and “Olaf” make-your-own snowman kits.

After five hours at the Vendor Fair, the hard working students had earned $129 for their efforts – but not for themselves. They donated their earnings to a family whose house was recently lost in a fire. Compassion and generosity are traits that are always appreciated and encouraged in Johnstown!
