Welcome to the Junior High school guidance counseling page. It is important that students remember your school counselor is here to help. Whether you have questions about your schedule, are having problems with another student, or just need to talk, feel free to stop by and see Mrs. Yetto.

In order to help ensure student success, the school counselor works closely with the teachers as well as the principal, other school personnel and community counseling resources. Communication from parents is welcomed and encouraged. If you have questions or concerns regarding your child, or to schedule a parent/teacher conference with your child’s team teachers, please call the school counseling office or e-mail me at ayetto@johnstownschools.org.

New Student Buddies

Starting a new school can be stressful, and we understand that here. When a new student starts at the junior high school after the start of the school year, they are paired up with a buddy who has many of the same teachers as they do. The buddy gives them a tour of the building, answers any questions they may have, eats lunch with them, and introduces them to his/her friends. This system works out well, as it helps the new student feel welcomed.
