The third graders at Glebe Street School have been getting into the holiday spirit by learning about community service. Throughout the month of December, they have been collecting dog food, treats, toys and other items to donate to the Regional Animal Shelter in Gloversville. Mrs. Haverly from the shelter visited the students and spoke to them about the needs of the shelter and what it means to be a volunteer. They learned that even a child can make a difference in his/her community! Students will continue to accept donations until December 23.
