Glebe Celebrates Dr. Seuss’ Birthday

Glebe Street Elementary students celebrated Dr. Seuss’ 111 birthday on Monday, March 2.

Students enjoyed an assembly with Seuss music, stories, a kick off of PARP (Parents as Reading Partners) and a proclamation reading by City of Johnstown Mayor Michael Julius.

The students also worked hard creating Seuss themed decorations for the school and even dressed Seuss for the day. All classes had a guest reader and participated in four stations that included a Seuss snack, reading/AR, Seuss games and dancing, and a Seuss craft.

We hope all had a wonderful time celebrating our love of reading at Glebe – please enjoy this musical slideshow from the dayQuicktime MPEG-4 Video (.m4v) hosted on GoogleDrive
