Glebe Street Celebrates 50 Years of Learning

Glebe Street Elementary School recognized 50 years of educational opportunities with a “birthday” celebration on Wednesday, June 21. The building first opened to students in September 1967.

To commemorate Glebe’s golden anniversary, two 4’x4′ barn quilt squares created by the district’s current second and third grade students were unveiled during the ceremony and have been permanently installed at the front of the building.

Thank you Glebe alumni and community members who came out to join our students and staff for this special event. Many thanks to JEPTA for the 50th birthday treats! Thank you also to Pop Pop’s Ice Cream!
