Fourth Graders Construct Longhouses

Fourth graders in Ms. Kellerman’s social studies classes  created longhouse dioramas over the holiday break.  A longhouse was a multiple-family dwelling used by Native Americans, including the tribes of the Iroquois Confederacy that lived in the Northeastern United States and Eastern Canada.

Thirty longhouses were brought in and are currently being displayed in the front of the building, the library, and in the classroom.
