Award Winners Recognized at Founders Day Dinner

Founder’s Day award winners were recognized at a dinner hosted by the Knox PTSA on Monday, March 14, at the Winner’s Circle Restaurant. Founders Day is an annual reminder of the substantial role PTAs and PTSAs play locally, regionally and nationally in supporting parent involvement and working on behalf of all children and families.

Founders Day Winners unselfishly give their time and energy to the children of our school, above and beyond what is expected. Congratulations to:

  • Johnstown High School Media Specialist Dylan Thomarie and Teacher Aide Kim England
  • Knox Junior High School  Principal Michael Satterlee and Family & Careers Teacher Linda Rusnica.
  • Warren Street Elementary School Fourth Grade Teacher Kristin Meashaw and Cook Letitia VanHusen
  • Glebe Street Elementary School Principal Abbey North and Parent Christine LaMori
  • Pleasant Avenue Elementary School Nurse Marilyn Fariello and Custodian Greg Forgette

In addition to Founder’s Day Award winners, we also congratulate our City-Wide and Mischael Boyer Award Winners:

  • JHS Music Teacher Andy LaCoppola, winner of the City-Wide Award, who has distinguished himself in service to the children of the Johnstown community
  • Toys for Tots Coordinators Mary & John Pradelski, winners of the Mischael Boyer Award, for helping to raise the self-esteem among the youth of the Johnstown community
