JHS Senior Honored by Football Foundation

Senior football player Jack Fitzgerald was nominated to represent Johnstown High School at the 2015 Capital District Chapter of the National Football Foundation & College Football Hall of Fame Scholar Athlete Dinner on Monday, March 7.

Jack was then selected by the Foundation as one of twelve players from among 58 high schools and colleges in Section II to make an acceptance speech and be honored as an overall winner based on a combination of academics and athletics. Congratulations Jack!

A three-sport athlete with a GPA of 97, Jack will be attending Hartwick College in the fall, where he plans to continue playing football.

More than 350 area coaches, administrators, officials and family members attended the event at the Radisson Hotel in Albany.
