We would like to pass along this information from our local Department of Health (Fulton County Public Health Department) about where you can obtain a COVID-19 test locally, should you or anyone in your family need one – including nearby sites in Johnstown, Gloversville and Amsterdam.

- In-house Healthcare Workers
- First Responders
- Symptomatic individuals (Insured and Uninsured)
Hours of Operation: Mornings by appointment Monday, Wednesday & Friday, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
How to make an appointment:
If you have a fever, cough or other respiratory symptoms, please call you Primary Care Physician. Guidance will be provided concerning testing, care and protective protocol over the phone. To best protect you, patients, staff and public must call their Primary Care Physician.
COVID Testing Site
Site Operator: St. Mary’s Health Care

- Asymtomatic testing
- Symptomatic NOT needing a provider assessment–test only
- Pre-surgical testing
- Mandated testing
- Direct exposure testing
- Travel testing

State University of Albany Drive-Thru

- Symptomatic individuals who have had close contact with a positive case
- Health Care Workers
- Nursing home employees
- First responders on the front lines
Hours of Operation: Open Daily 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Call the NYSDOH COVID-19 24-hour hotline at 1.888.364.3065 to be screened. No walk-ins will be allowed. You must be in a vehicle.
Herkimer Primary Urgent Care

If the patient is symptomatic, they can be rapid-tested and the Urgent Care will bill the insurance company for the test. A child must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian. If some other adult brings the child for testing, they will need written permission from the parent/guardian to do the test. In other situation prior insurance approval is required.
