While Pleasant Avenue is home now to students in pre-k, kindergarten and first grade, you might have noticed some older students in the mix at the Pleasant Halloween Parade on October 31. Those were our sixth grade buddies, who volunteered to walk from Warren to Pleasant to lend a hand!
Some sixth graders wrote essays to express their interest in keeping the tradition of the Buddy Walk, even though they are now in different buildings. Fifty-one of them sacrificed participating in their own Fall Festival activities to walk from Warren to Pleasant and buddy-up. This allowed each of the six kindergarten classes at Pleasant to receive help from eight or nine sixth grade buddies.
Thank you to the sixth graders for volunteering to help out! We look forward to additional opportunities for our students to buddy up!
