Book Dedication in Honor of Mrs. Heroth

Retiring sixth grade teacher Mrs. Paula Heroth has been honored by the Johnstown Elementary PTA with a book donation to the Warren Street School Library. Students stopping by to check out “Auggie & Me: Three Wonder Stories” by R.J. Palacio will find a dedication placard attached to the inside cover in recognition of Mrs. Heroth. The book is a companion piece to author Palacio’s #1 New York Times best seller “Wonder.”

When she leaves the district at the end of this school year, Mrs. Heroth’s teaching career will have spanned 33 years, with the past 30 dedicated to the students of Johnstown. In addition to guiding students in the classroom, she has also served as a coach, undertaken roles in the PTA, and acted as a roller skating supervisor. Her positive and upbeat attitude will be sorely missed by staff and students alike, but she is wished the very best as she enters the next chapter of her life!
