We would like to take a moment to update you on a change in procedure concerning our school lunch program and charging for meals when lunch money has not been provided for children.
Beginning June 1st, we will be implementing a three-meal charge procedure. After charging three meals, your child will be provided with the alternate lunch until the balance of the account is paid. This change in procedure is necessary so that we can continue to provide your child with a nutritious lunch and also be accountable to the debt that can result from charging multiple lunches over time.
We recognize that life can be hectic and that lunch money can be forgotten. If the three-meal charge limit is reached, your child’s school will call you with a reminder and you will have the option to make a payment online at www.mySchoolBucks.com or bring payment in the form of cash or check to your child’s school to pay the account balance. Should you so choose, you can add funds to your child’s account at any time online at www.mySchoolBucks.com to maintain a positive balance and ensure that money is available for your child’s lunch if he or she forgets to bring lunch money on any given day.
If your financial circumstances have changed and, as a result, you are no longer able to provide lunch money for your child(ren), you may call your school principal for a confidential conversation. They will discreetly assist you with this matter.
