Pleasant Students Enjoy Special STEM Night

On January 25, 140 Pleasant Avenue students turned out to participate in STEM Night, a special event designed to encourage Johnstown’s youngest students to discover their love for science, technology, engineering, and math.

Students were asked to pre-register and to pick five break-out sessions they were interested in attending, including arithmetic archery, dry ice, robotic challenges, snow and ice cream, melting snowmen, marshmallow building, electricity, hot air balloons, PBS kids gaming mash up, STEAM art, slingshot rockets, puffy paint, oobleck, and slime.

Judging by the huge turn out, our students are all about tackling STEM!
