Welcome to the Knox Junior High school counseling page. It is important that students remember your school counselor is here to help. Whether you have questions about your schedule, are having problems with another student, or just need to talk, feel free to stop by and see Mrs. Yetto.

In order to help ensure student success, the school counselor works closely with the teachers as well as the principal, other school personnel and community counseling resources. Communication from parents is welcomed and encouraged. If you have questions or concerns regarding your child, or to schedule a parent/teacher conference with your child’s team teachers, please call the school counseling office or e-mail me at ayetto@johnstownschools.org.

Welcoming Committee
Photo of Knox Junior High School's Welcoming Committee enjoying a pizza partyFor those of you who aren’t aware, the Welcoming Committee was developed in order to assist new students coming into our district throughout the year. With recommendations from their teachers, a number of our seventh and eighth graders will work together to help ease the transition of new students to the building. Many times these new students come to Knox not knowing anyone and the adjustment can be difficult. Our Welcoming Committee did a wonderful job last year helping to alleviate some of this stress by giving tours of the building, helping out with lockers, introducing the new students to other friends, and sitting with them at lunch.

We look forward to the continued success of the Welcoming Committee and thank all our members for their participation!

DID YOU KNOW… a number of teachers at Knox post their homework assignments online each week? Check out schoolnotes.com.
