Please note, there is no longer a thoroughfare between
Pearl Street and Wright Drive. For fall and spring
sports contests at the high school athletic fields, or
to reach the swimming pool, use the Wright Drive
entrance. For winter sports contests in the high school
gymnasium, use the Pearl Street entrance.
Pick-up &
Drop-Off Locations for Student Athletes
Pick-up of athletic teams will take place in front of
the high school on the island at the edge of the circle.
Return drop-off will take place behind the high school,
at the end of Wright Drive. Parents should plan on
picking-up their children in this area.

Thank you
for assistance and patience during renovations
The
Greater Johnstown School District extends its gratitude
to all who assisted while Knox Field was under
construction. Thank you to the Gloversville Enlarged
School District for the generous use of Husky Field for
both a home football game and the marching band home
show; to the Broadalbin-Perth Central School District
for hosting two home football games; to Mr. Adam
Barnhart, athletic director of the Broadalbin-Perth
School District, and Mr. Michael DeMagistris, athletic
director of the Gloversville school district, for their
cooperation and assistance throughout the scheduling
process; and to the administration and buildings and
grounds staffs of both districts, who made us feel
welcome and at home while at their facilities.
Thank you to our community and our school; to all of our
fans who made the trip to whatever field we were calling
home each week; and to all the volunteers, class
advisors, students and support staff who help to make an
event run smoothly.
Most importantly, thank you to all of our seniors, who
have been patient and accepting of whatever has been
dealt to them this fall, so that students of the future
may benefit. The class and dedication you have shown
will take you far in life.
Notice
Regarding Events At Knox: Remember To Be Respectful And
Please Stay Off the Hill
Events at
Knox Field are enjoyed by students and faculty, as well as
the other members of our community. All event attendees are
asked to remember to be respectful of fellow spectators and
event participants. Parents are also reminded to please
supervise their children.
The hill
at Knox is not to be used as a play or pastime area. For the
safety of all, people should refrain from playing, sliding
or engaging in any other activity on the hill. Police at
Knox events are instructed to ask student spectators who
fail to follow this rule to sit with their parents. If,
however, the inappropriate behavior continues, the offenders
may be asked to leave the event.
