Board of Education Nominating Petitions

Have YOU considered serving on the Board of Education in the Greater Johnstown School District?

On May 15, 2018, voters in the Greater Johnstown School District will have the opportunity to elect three individuals to serve three-year terms on the district’s nine-member Board of Education. We need good people to step forward to help shape the future!

In order to serve as a board member, an individual must be at least 18 years old, a qualified voter in the school district, able to read and write, and must reside in the school district for one year before the election. Board members cannot be employees of the school. There can only be one board member in a household.

In order to appear on the May 15 ballot, candidates must file a nominating petition with the District Clerk, signed by 100 qualified district voters. You do not need to be affiliated with a political party. Nominating Petitions are available in the District Business Office or may be printed using the link below. Completed petitions must be received by the District Clerk no later than 5 p.m. on April 25, 2018.
